Looking good!   :congrats:          Like that Mk6 wheel, but does it cost a fortune to get one and have it fitted, coded etc?

Yep controls the stereo and the "lowline". Not all the buttons work but most do. Just need to code the cruise control.

Cheers monte. It is probably my favorite mod.

So much nicer to use than the mk5 one.

Fantastic mods mate

Did you have a flat bottomed Mk5 one Wilmott?  I loved the mk5 one compared to my Cupra round one but now have a custom one with my MFSW buttons and seat airbag and haven't had chance to use it yet

I'm not sure how much different mine will feel compared to Mk5, Mk6 and FL Cupra R ones

Don't get me wrong, the mk5 flat bottom steering wheel is great and yours mike is looking very nice... but as soon as you see a mk6 one you just have to buy it.

....The first thought I had when I got in the driver's seat of a Mk6 GTI was what a bling steering wheel. I don't like it at all. I prefer the Mk5 GTI wheel but like Mike's wheel even better.

But each to their own  :happy2:

Today I polished up my exhaust pipes with wire wool, dremel and d/a

Trimmed my centre interior lights cover so that I can now run full Interior leds

and more importantly decided to keep the mk5 for a while longer :)

Last night, I fitted my 17" Monza's with Nokian WR G2 Winter tyres. Only temporary as my Omanyt's are off whilst one get's re-powdercoated (Kwikfit )

Car feels quite different. The 17's are slightly comfier than the 18's (obv) but these tyres are great in the wet. We've had a flood of water ith last day (airports and major roads closed, etc) so they've been fully tested in the righ conditions. Looking forward to when the temperature drops below 7 (probs late October) where these tyres will really shine.

today me and my new Ed 30 got to know each other.   Picked up about 1030 and had a nice drive up the M5 back to Birmingham - was a lot more enjoyable than the way there.   I did miss cruise control though!
