^^^^ WANT!!  Part numbers for all the various bits and prices please! East to fit? From the dealers?

 :happy2:

i ordered from a parts company from Holland, HC automotive so its all in euros. Done this because VW linwood only get part drop offs on wednesdays, or at least they say that anyway. all genuine parts and i doubt there will be a big difference in price, once you convert it

1K0881286A - METAL RETAINING BRACKET - 17EUROS
N90812302 - POP RIVET - QTY 3 - 0.37EUROS EA.
1K0882607A - BLACK PLASTIC HOLDING BRACKET (INCLUDES A BACKING PLATE AND STRAP) - 28 EUROS
2 x 6mm bolts, i think i picket up 25mm length m6's, could use a bit longer, down to personal preference
The VW extinghuiser itself is like 100GBP+, so started a hunt and found an exact replica manufactured by a company called gloria and its available from B+Q, im told that gloria are more than likely the manufacturers of the VW one. it cost around £20, ebay had them aswell.

Fairly easy install, just dont do what i did and mount it under the Passenger side as it doesnt fit!! clashes with the slider mechanism. spent ages grinding out the rivets!!

Excellent, thanks for all the info bud! Added to the list.  :happy2:

think im gonna get the drl grill installed soon where the fog lights are, left to right strip that are to the side of the fog lights but i need to enquire about light set up and cost

....There's a whole thread about them and with lots of pics:

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,20738.0.html  < Are these the ones you're interested in, Scott?
thanks for that robin, yes is the answer, i read all 18 pages of that post - phew - and they look the business, i got excited about the group discount and seen december was the cut of date so i thought great - i think i will order these, only to then notice the year 2010,,,,  :stupid: yeah i know---- stupid ---- anyway i think i will order a set from the link on the thread, but without reading that thread i may have bought from someone with lesser quality product,,, so thats twice now you have advised me a product and twice i have bought lol,,, after a bad start you have turned into my parts dude,,,,, really really like the lights, just gotta decide on clear or smoked ones and there is no way im gonna install these myself,,,, will need to find an auto electrician,,,,, i mean i changed my interior air filter last week and i was way chuffed with myself so yeah thats my level just now,,,,, im starting slowly but im keen lol,,,, just got my set of led-s from allan if i remember right, so that will be fun installing them without any errors coming up,,, bought 2 sets as i like to keep spares,,, all interior and puddle lights x2 sets for £44 delivered so good deal.
i also like your led's as they look so different and the new grill looks well cool,,, very unique,,,, i see that 18 page post ended with someone giving you a hard time regarding law / legistation etc,,,, he seemed to be picking on everything,,,, seemed a bit unfair as he just seemed to jump down your throat when all we are trying to do here is help each other out, to date of what i have seen your comments on this area seems to be the clearest so  :happy2:

....That'll be a guy called Teutonic_Tamer. He hasn't been on here for some time now but used to get into arguments/debates with everyone. He was often right about things but upset folks by his manner, and he wasn't always right! Myself (and others) had some very heated forum exchanges with him and we eventually met face to face and got on together very well! Poor guy suffers from ill health and this may be why we don't hear from him anymore. He could be a bit of a nuisance though, bless him!

Sorry of this is a retarded question but are they painted by brush or spray  :happy2:

Mine came with painted bells but I don't know if my next ones will

Haha, not retarded at all. I went for the easy option and just painted them by brush. Very pleased with the finish, can't see brush strokes or anything.  :happy2:

As requested, pictures of wheels back on below.
Scott, I had a 250ml tin of paint and it hardly used much at all, so I think your 125ml tin should be plenty.

Got a set of GY Eagle F1 assy 2's fitted. I like the big  lip they have round the edge, should protect my wheels nicely once they're refurbed. I hope the GY's last as long as the Michelin PS2's they are replacing. I got 24 thousand miles out of them!

I did this a couple months ago, I also used a bacterial cleaning spray from halfords.

Leave it on auto spray and turn AC cleans.
