i see your wheel bolt spaces have been getting scratched by wheel gun etc,,,, the surface is so very scratchable isnt it,,, only thing i dont like about the monzas

....Probably started by scratches which broke the lacqueur seal but that looks like the beginning of white worm to me.

It's more than the beginning, all my wheels are absolutely riddled with whiteworm! That's why I'm about to get them refurbed. Although it looks great, I'm not getting diamond cut again. I'm getting a mixed type of powdercoating because I want them to stay looking good!

Got rid of the squeek of my steering wheel rubbing on the steering column plastics, been annoying me for months but only just got round to sorting it. Might fit my new lower boot trim and give her a wash later

the diamond cut looks wicked but yes i am thinking along the same lines here, although my wheels are less than a month old i can see how they will be hard to keep that way no matter how carefull i am.
changing my tyres i told the garage be very very very carefull with the wheels,, they done a good job but one of the wheels has a few scratches on it,, small but it is the start,,, these wheels look impossible to keep good but i will try my best.
they will get a proper clean once or twice a month, sealed etc if necc but i aint cleaning my wheels every 5 days or so as thats way to much hassle.
just spent £110 yesterday online on cleaning products for my whole car top to bottom,, its a bit much but as i said once a month prob.
i dont understand this whiteworm thing,,, what the heck is it, can someone explain it

Whiteworm is just the name that people use, I'm guessing cos the efffect is like a parasite eating it's way around in worm like trails. It happens because the metal surface of the wheel is coated in a clear laquer. If this laquer gets chipped or damaged in any way it begins to let water etc in. Once this happens it will eat its way further along under the coating giving the appearance of a white trail. Over time it only gets worse!

Had and passed MOT today bit of a faf with the lights, MOT place said they were incorrectly adjusted, went to VW up the road they adjusted them, back to the MOT place, again said were incorrectly adjusted, back to VW they checked and showed me on their light box,( thingy) that they were fine, back to MOT place again adjusted incorrectly, told them to ring VW, then he said well its just ok, so will only put it as a advisory!!!

Hence to say i wont be going back there for a MOT again.

Tomorrow will be changing the wifes golf, bonnet lock as its playing up. Will do a DIY for you chappies :)

I lost my rag and had a go at the girl in VW first time i went back to them after they adjusted the lights, when i  realised the Cabbage  in the MOT place was being difficult i went back to see her with coffee and donughts.

All was forgiven lol
