Finally finished fitting my RNS 510, new can gateway and multifunction steering wheel. Updated the RNS with 4120 and V9 maps. All coded and running spot on. Well happy with it all! :jumping:
sorry but can i ask what the 4120 actually is and how do you get it

Discovered a leaky washer reservoir today so made an appointment. Also ordered a cam follower, remote/key badge, oil and filter for the next change.

I keep meaning to get a new key fob badge and battery.

It's still on the original battery any it will end up running out on me soon  :sad1:

My batteries are still original as well...since Nov. '06  ;]

I don't know why I waited so long to replace the long lost fob badge. ;(
It only cost me $8 usd
I get all of my parts from the VW dealer at employee cost. IDKW? Must be because I give them so much work to do, right?
They pretty much did all of the work on my MKV to date, and since there is only one (really good) mechanic on duty, I can always trust it being done right every time.
I'm happy that the Golf R has my engine in it with a K04. When/if my K04 goes bad i should get it for a really fair price, yes?  :stupid: ..that is if it is the proper spooler.
do you have the link for the fob you bought dude  :happy2:

I have seen this kit on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Passat-B6-B7-CC-Golf-5-6-EOS-REAR-VIEW-CAMERA-VW-reversing-camera-/251082187649?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3a75aa2381

It seems to come with a loom but I don't know if it would just be plug and play

Got stressed with it as every time I manage to stop the steering wheel rubbing and squeaking on the steering column plastics it starts again after a couple of journeys and it's really annoying me now :fighting:

My turbo has potentially started making a "ho" sound following a gear change. Only happened in second and third. Doesnt do it when reving in neutral. Otherwise, washed it.

Ed 30 drove me back from the Birmingham Half Marathon - not like my legs could do much afterwards.   Saw another Tornado Red too!

That "ho" noise.. mines has always done it.. like a discharge sort of noise? mines does it like a turbo spool...

Well mate I had my mind going aswell but ive heard its more of a drilling noise at the dentist that u need to listen out for lol. My mates Audi sounds like this and it doesnt exactly perform like it should so we reckon it is the turbo lagging. Time will tell and im no mechanic lol  :signLOL: :signLOL:
