Renewed the insurance on my stage2+ ed30. The renewal was 905quid but after getting a better quote and then ringing them up to tell them, it magically came down to the same price of 555quid (i hate insurance companies trying it on, hoping people just renew without looking around :fighting:)
555 wow that's a lot, my renewal was 470 when I bought then reduced after phoning and changing company to 297 although stock spec

There just torques headed screws I've never changed mine but they unscrew easy enough.

Looks alright. Only those "in the know" will understand it. I think the rabbit thing will be lost on most people in the UK. That's no bad thing though   :happy2:

Fitted newer version drivers side fog light unit. While I was at it I opened both fogs and cleaned the insides of the glass. Made a real difference, surprising how much the dirt hazes them up inside!

Put on a revision G DV.

Got an Edition 30 badge for the front grille - lets hope it sticks!

Also, got a Fiscon bluetooth last week. I wanted the hidden microphone in the ceiling as found in OEM bluetooth kits. Remembered that when I fitted heated seats to my old Golf in 2011 they offered me a discount on my next purchase, as I gently grumbled that as they make the looms up they should make a RHD version so we don't have to chop and solder, or swap seat looms when adding heated seats.
Anyhow, they knocked €20 off the mic price, so I'm very happy they've redeemed themselves.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

....Well at least you got good aftersales service and it was replaced free of charge. You wouldn't have got that if you had bought one from eBay made in China.
