For the first time in many years of owning VWs, I didn't take my car to a main dealers for a service.  Instead dropped the Mk5 GTi round to Stattlers in Sheffield for it's 40,000 mile fettle.  Great, friendly service from the guys down there.  Whilst settling the bill, the conversation turned towards Stage 1 options and perhaps making mine sound a bit nicer.  I think this could mean I'm finally about to step onto that slippery slope of wallet emptying!!!

So in the long run it's cheaper to go to the stealers...! :stupid:

Thanks for that.  I don't remember saying anything about trying to save money.

^^^^ yeap, 8 of the little puppies on the plate and another 8 behind the grill. Used the "How to" from TopCat (and another one posted by Monte). Bought some N35 Neodymium magnets, 20mm x 3mm.  You would not believe just how strong they are, it's ridiculous!

Fitted the red calipers on the front and rear.

Anyone know if there would be a market for the old 312mm that came off, unpainted. Would replace seals and clean them up.
mods complete - rns510, armrest, euro cup holder, gateway upgd, oem xenons, headlamp washers, levellers, heated seats, mk6 reversing cam, r32 interior trim, bluetooth.
mods planned - climatronic, Highline Clocks
registered VCDS

Scott - am I right thinking you are in Banchory? Might need to come and see this in action at some point! Sounds like Eddie/Golfman will also be getting some business....!  :driver:
