Fitted the red calipers on the front and rear.

Anyone know if there would be a market for the old 312mm that came off, unpainted. Would replace seals and clean them up.

You can try the "For Sale" forum sections and e-bay. I've put all of my stuff that I swapped out on three different forums and craigslist, and sold nothing, and I have lots of oem stuff lying around now.

They'd definitely sell, although it depends what kind of figure you have in mind as to whether it's worth it?

Mk5 based cars with the 55mm strut & 288mm setup only need the carriers from the 312mm setup and new discs (as a minimum) for a cheap upgrade. Calipers and pads are the same so no brake bleeding required, but I doubt you'd want to sell them seperately.

On my last car which was a 2.0 tdi 140, I got red GTI calipers & carriers off a forum member for £40 and that's a reasonable price for a buyer I reckon. I wouldn't have minded colourless ones personally as it'd have matched the rears

Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Had a shakey front beam, that likely developed after removing the eyelids, so I added a bit of dense foam to the gap between the rear of the lamps and the core support trim. This did the trick.

Fitted the R32 rear bumper & some LED rear lights on Sunday, they look great :happy2:

But have a slight issue now. While removing the licence plate light/parking sensor connector (the main connector on the rear drivers side) I snapped the clip. So when putting it back in I used duct tape to hold it together and it looked fine. But after finishing I turned the ignition on and it came up with the light out warning and the licence plate light/rear parking sensors don't work, just get a long beep then nothing.

Reaching under the car I can feel the connector is still connected but I assume its not tight enough.

So is it an easy fix or not?

Will take a look tomorrow morning as am off. Maybe try and pull it tighter together with some cable ties for now?

Spent the afternoon applying the G1 ClearVision Smart Glass rain repellant and WOW it's ability to do what it says is incredible. Takes a bit of effort but well worth it, bring on the rain and ice!!

If I was any good at posting video I would post one but I'm not so take my word for it!
