Carried out my rear light modification today....loving the veyron/skyline look with the double rings.

Nice cheap modification which spruces up the rear. Freshens the look.

Very happy with it  :drinking:

I love the yellow touches TRS  :notworthy:

They would really suit a Pirelli.  :happy2:

yeah these are what you need,

http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/elite-heavy-duty-foam-lance-6-types-of-fitment-and-free-1l.php

http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/ph-neutral-snow-foam.php

and a pressure washer. you can get the lance with different fitments, i ordered karcher as thats who makes the pressure washer i have.

you just fill the bottle with 1 inch or so of snow foam, and fill the rest with water, and spray at the car. you have to adjust the nozzle to get the spray right, but its simple.    there may be other lances out there, but thats the one i got.

also it will last you ages as one bottle covers the car maybe 2-3 times!

....Nice one! Performance cars are like race horses - They need their legs stretching a bit and get temperamental if left couped up in the stables.

I took mine to the local dealers this morning - almost ended up with a heart attack!

I booked it in yesterday as the car came with one 1 key, I decided to just get a genuine one ordered and coded to the car. Took the car in this morning just before 9. The service department said they had done a check on my chassis number and found there was 2 recalls outstanding and a software update available for the car. Would it be ok to carry these things out at the same time? They were being done under warrenty so I said fine. 50 minutes was the time quoted - However after about 11, the mechanic came over and said Sorry for the delay but we have had a crash with the car while its being worked on. Now my first reaction was WTF - but then I said - Wait the car hasnt even left the bay - what do you mean? - The internet connection had dropped mid way downloading the update to the car. - meaning the ecu was frozen, the original key wouldnt do anything and the car wouldnt start!
It took them another 40 minutes to try again and get everything fixed.

No idea what the update did!!!

But now got my spare key - and a one touch unlock! £188 lighter!

cheers for that mate, looks good, I have a karcher pressyre washer so it maybe fit as is,,, it says it is a pre wash system ? does that mean I still have to wash with another soap after ?
car looks really soapy,,, is it actually better than normal bucket of soapy water and once its on do you leave it a while then use sponge or something to rub it in ?
cheers again dude

With snow foam you apply it to the car when it is dry and leave it for about 5-10 mins then rinse off with the power washer

The point of snow foam is to remove all the grit, loose dirt etc from the car before you do the actuall washing of the car to save causing scratches.

There Is a link to a cheap snow foam lance on eBay on here in the for sale section

Have a look at this link

finally got the front plate surround off the car, thanks for the advice on that guys
rear plate before

rear plate after

front plate before

front plate after

yeah I know its dark lol
well done vw for making the front grill so easy to take off, unlike the mk4 which is a nightmare
only a small customisation I know but happy with the result,, got surrounds from awesome and nearly fitted fake ones from flee bay with the spelling incorrect, wolfburg instead of Wolfsburg lol,,,
big thanks to red robin again for spotting the spelling mistake,,, I would have been driving about with the wrong spelling for ages lol if he hadn't noticed it so cheers mate,
as you say its WOLFSBURG & NOT WOLFBURG  :happy2:
