cant emphasise how much snow tyres help, with the r32 4wd I keep hearing owners say they are plowing through the snow,, only problem is that 4wd system aint gonna do anything to help you stop.
there is enough evidence out there now that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that snow tyres are essential if you want grip.
anyone who disputes this is just plain stupid

Just look at this one Alex posted the other day  :surprised: :stupid: :jumping:

Any info more info on this, Symtoms?

Been there before ;[

That one ^ above looked like this next one at 5k miles;

There are no symptoms or even warnings. When mine went, it just went. My follower failed at 58k miles destroying the hpfp and intake cam, but luckily it was all covered by warranty. I've checked it every 10k miles since and none ever looked as if they could go 15k miles. Here's the two before my latest;

I just made a vid of my last c/f replacement. I'll post it very soon. It only takes 10 minutes to remove the hpfp to take a look, and put it all back together.

As I have spent the day rolling on the space-saver, I've been playing 'miles per gallon challenge'. Managed 37.8 in urban conditions! Usually low to mid 20's!

My car looks like a proper spaz-mobile with the skinny wheel on though!  :rolleye:

How would one post 'safely', without admin. attention, that a bmw 335i kept falling farther and farther behind today? Just curious  :jumping:

If something like this were to in reality be true... :drinking: JFK

....I think you have just posted it 'safely'  :wink: - No more needs to said and some things are best left to the imagination.

I'm sure that the folks here don't want the forum to become a place full of accounts of winning traffic light grand prix etc etc - Quite rightly in my opinion. Some car forums are full of it  :stupid:

Just found out that my letter to Martin Winterkorn worked. VW UK have now decided to pay the whole cost of repairs to my boot rust, not just the 70-30 they originally quoted.
Result!!  :jumping:

Good hearing the warranty news  :happy2:

Sad to hear the end of your latest VW ownership  :sad1:

I've done a bit of online shopping for some new bits for the mkv.

I still want a front arb and curious about the VWR cold-air intake. < Does anybody have this intake? Or a link to some news?
