Cleaned the golf for the first time in 2 months whilst its not raining :fighting: could'nt believe the amount of contaminants on the paint (good old iron x) in that short time...

Used a drying towel for the first time.... brilliant simply brilliant!! managed only 1 coat of autoglym srp, no wax before the rain returned.
Candy White 5 door mk6 gti  and a escort cosworth for wasting money on!!

Today I detailed in interior, looking and smelling amazing. Also detailed the engine bay and what a difference that looks too! Then gave it a quick wash before the rain arrived. Will be machine polishing and winter preping the car next week!

Been busy the last couple of days...

Fitted an ED30 MFSW in replacement for the standard GTI one.
Fitted new springs/shocks and topmounts all round.
New HEL brake hoses on the front as the old ones were chaffed & stretched.
Put on some new fog grilles.
Put in 18 SMD puddle light units (whoa!)
Put the old 8 SMD puddle LED's in as sidelights - jury still out on this to be honest.

Got a few other things to do later in the week...
Recently refurbed in black S3 brake setup all round coming up & to replace my scabby R32 fronts.
Brake fluid flush.
Alternator pulley and V-belt to change.
Door warning lights to go on from my old car.
Exhaust clamp as it's blowing slightly.
Waxoyl it whilst up on the ramp.
Need to get Auto Windscreens out to fill some small chips I got recently.
Thankfully my N/S front wing is starting to bubble so that should get replaced when in the bodyshop in the new year as presently only doing the O/S.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Spent a good couple of hours with the car today checking it all over after last nights happenings :sad1:

Luckily rear lower valve clipped on again a treat, took the middle section of the front splitter off as it was hanging of and luckily all the clips are fine so ill put that on after xmas.

So all in all for the spin that i had all it needed was a good clean  :signLOL:

Some one up there is lookin out for me

Finally got a long enough break in the rain to apply the Gtechniq G1 on all the glass. Took quite a while, but hopefully it's worth it!

Got an email from VW HQ that my golf is repaired after VW St Albans killed my engine and will be ready for collection tomorrow...but they're going to keep it stored until I get back down south from work! Can't help but think with all this weather it couldn't have happened at a better time!

Roll on end of Jan! wooow! :driver:

Got it back from having it repaired after some noob reversed into it, awesome job though and it's back to being mint! Then dropped it off with my mapper for some adjustments and hopefully launch control. :)

Had a 400 mile round trip, dropping my daughter at her mums for xmas.
One thing i hate about motorways is MIDDLE LANE DRIVERS!!!  :jumping: :stupid: Mainly the length of M4, but also the M3 and there are 2 middle lanes on the London circular M25. Did see a clean Tornado red Gt Tdi with Charlestons   on whilst sat on M25.
Why o why are these people still allowed on the road??
Didn't do bad on mpg for a sooty, got 58mpg with an average speed of 70mph (naughty slap wrist ociffer)

Shouldn't publicly say those speeds pal! It was obviously a typo though and you meant to say 70!  :happy2:
