Did the boot pop mod a couple of hours ago. All working although as others have mentioned it doesn't work great in this cold weather, but still a cool mod :happy2:

Mine is the same. I wonder if a bit of round/one sided-adhesive pad added where the spring loaded release touches would give it a bit more UMPH?
I will try tomorrow and let you know w/pics of what I use, OK?

Just be careful padding it out / pushing the bump stop out too far as it can damage the lock.

Reece. Next time you need a mimi mod doing, post a "please help" post up, someone might do it for beer tokens. I'd have fitted them FOC for you, no more than a bit of a faff to do.

^^^Only problem with that - MC would probably convince you to spend north of £3k on mods whilst fitting your repeaters for 'free'.

Yes, I will proceed with patience and caution. The pads I have are like 3/32" or 2.5mm and give more from there as they compress to almost nothing.

....In most of the UK right now, it's not only raining hard but there's wind speed gusts of 40mph. Ooops! There goes the canopy.....   Right into the neighbour's garden!

My bump stops are currently fully compressed so I may bring them out 1-2 clicks as that should help. Pretty much that same as adding pads.

Have mine on 3 clicks out and work every time  in the warmer weather but only so e of the time in the cold weather. Anymore than 3 clicks will be too much on the lock and seals around the tailgate will lose their ability to do their thing.

Definitely seems to be a summer mod; unfortunately just fitted mine, so I've only seen it work a couple of times. lol.

That looks really good. I did think of doing my lip yellow like yours and then doing the calipers etc but I got talked out of it by various people but that shade of yellow looks spot on and the engine cover brings it together :happy2:
