I am not a fan of the forge twin inter cooler setup there is still going to be a pressure drop across the stock core and cannot see the reason for doing it, gimmicks??.  The S3 cores bring the pressure drop down by 3-4psi and imo one of the best oem mods for the gti for both cost and performance.  The THS is a good setup and works well but only going to improve over the s3 cooler if the setup is running 340+bhp.  Only splash out money if its needed, stock with the cheapest option for your target power which in the case of a k03 tfsi is the S3 290quid oem core which will happy flow as much as the k03 can give.

Cheers Nick. Did I hear you correctly last yr when you suggested that you would lose some torque with an S3 intercooler??

Nick

The S3 fmic is sufficient for all K03's, most normal driving and regions, yes. I usually only recommend the S3 upgrade when asked even though I have both along with a K04 upgrade. For the price you cannot go wrong there. What Nick says often happens if both are installed, however, I have become a pro at adjusting the wastegate actuator for boost level adjustments. It only takes me about five minutes to do this now having gone through it a number of times dialing in my own boost from when it was 3 psi below specified. I just dropped the boost one psi a week ago.

^^^ I take it you adjust the N75 via VCDS/VAS, not physically?

No, haven't been shown that yet. So yes, done physically. But now I may do some roaming around in vcds looking for this..

yes the one side red and one side white look, noticed some people have removed the fog light red lens cover to give it the same white look on both sides then inserting a red bulb on the fog side instead of the red lens cover.
Not sure if they replace it with another clear lens on top of the red bulb or just leave the lens out completelly.
Only thing that has held me off so far from buying these rear clusters as im not sure about opening them up for the wire change etc incase i make a pigs ear of it unless i can buy a set pre done.
cheers  :drinking:
