Protection dude. Protection.
....Really?
I had a very close inspection of my Xenons when I washed and Zaino'd my car at the weekend and after 7.5 years and 105,000 miles there really is no damage to warrant either 'sanding' them or adding protection.
Try not following other vehicles so closely? And stay clear of the road edges too.
i bought 2 of the headlight restoration kits a few weeks back and went out to do the wifes 2003 golf,
was kind of surprised when i looked at them closely as there was nothing on there, no discolouration etc,,, only thing was some chips which you cant do anything about anyway.
Her car is 10yrs old with 65k on it.
Anyway i was there so i decided to do her lights anyway, followed the instructions but could not get any frosting etc prob due to nothing to come of in the first place lol.
I thought - old car so cant go wrong even if it messes the lights up.
Stood back after one headlight done and absolutelly no diff in the 2 headlights lol so havent even bothered to do my own car as the lights look new apart from some chips.
Guess i should have actually looked at both the cars before buying the stuff lol, only £10 or so with delivery so i thought why not.
If anyone does have headlights that need restored then give me a shout as i havent used the other kit and i wont be needing it so free to a good home, just chuck me £3 for postage
