Took the Ed30 in to my local National Tyres for its oil and filter change - came to £34 for Castrol Edge 5w30 (had a £10 off voucher). Also cheekily asked the guy to fill up my empty 1 litre top up bottle and he did - when the boss wasnt looking!  :happy2:

I had neglected my tyre pressures for a few months so got the guy to top up to 36 psi all round - handles the way it should now!

must be interesting to have a mk6 and a mk5 sitting in the same driveway, if they had done something different with the mk6 front grill i would have bought one over my mk5,
just couldnt force myself to like it

36psi ? does that not make it a very hard ride, i sit at 30psi as i find it the best for a mid ride

I tend to agree there... the MK5 has a bit more character, and it's only because we've seen so many, that the MK6 looks newer.  I do envy TSI engine / Roller follower / and few other bits though.

Depends on your wheel size mate... 18's should sit around 34-40 PSI, 17's lower.

They have a nice label in the fuel flap telling you what the tyre pressures should be.

Like the one on my Edition30 (for 18"tyres).

2.6 BAR/37 PSI. Have my 18" tyres at 37/38 and feels spot on.

I used to put 30 in the Pascara's but when i took the car in for 4 wheel alignment, the technician informed me i was way under. He refereed to the fuel cap and advised i should be on 2.6bar..(37PSI). Tyres filled to the correct pressure and the ride was much better.
I had 36 PSI in my head for some reason yesterday  :stupid:

The more I drive my car the more I love it, so easy to use cruising around town doing chores with the nephew in the back but its all smiles when the need for an outburst, its still standard and has been since I brought it in October.

That is all  :driver:

I too could not make myself like the mk6...I tried...but couldn't. The mk5, when I saw it the first time...I had to have one. I almost bought a new Toyota 4wd pick-up. But the fast, in the one on the lot I drove by that day of first contact, called out to me...and I had to have one. The mk5 face has flow, where the mk6 is confusing and busy. The mk6 also has the three different honeycomb sizes and a couple different finishes on the trim. I just look at it...like I am supposed to know it, but I don't.
