It's there to take the engine cover off; left hand on that, right hand on the engine cover and right foot on the front bumper.... Heeeavve.

It's the diverter valve pipe, the K04 has a remote DV mounted at the front f the engine and this is where the air diverts into.

^^^^ is it called a recirculation pipe?  which routes recirculated air from the diverter valve to the intake?

This.

And had a right ballache getting the clip off to remove it from the original intake pipe, until i realised my pliers where knackered and weren't opening properly  :ashamed: :signLOL:

Got my new Bilstein B14 Coilovers fitted today. They should lower the car by 50mm, as i have them at the bottom, so the wheels should be sitting nicely in the arches. Theyre a little high at the moment as theyve yet to settle, but overall im very happy with them.

The ride is noticeably firmer and the car doesnt feel like it rolls anywhere near as much as before during cornering and is more planted on the road.

I wanted to go lower than with just springs and also have a comfortable ride. i think i have found the best solution for that! i will be taking some pics and measurements to compare the height before and after settling.

Oh and thanks again to the guys at PD Tuning (david, mark and jonny) at Leechmere Sunderland for fitting. They managed to fit me in when I got dropped in by a friend.

They put a smile on daves face anyway when he came back from the test drive !

Hey look good Andy...

I had some just like that :sad1:

Now need to figure out how to get the air bag light sorted. If you come up with a solution be sure to let me know.

Cheers Darren. It was really good to meet you today and a pleasure doing the deal with the seats. I had forgotten just how comfortable Recaro seats are.

I'm going to do a search to see if I can sort out the airbag light. If I do I will let you know.  :happy2:

As an aside if anybody is looking to buy a Golf GTi I highly recommend you give Darren a ring and go and see his car. Hand on heart it is one of the cleanest, most well looked after cars I have seen. It is obvious that this car has been cherished all its' life and is truly one of those "first to see will definitely buy" cars.  :notworthy:
