Attempted to change my DV this morning.. what a PITA! :sad1:  Failed miserably.  Tried the 'through the wheel-arch' method as that was my only option - couldn't get in to any of the 3 bolts really!

Wish I had an ED30....

Looks like a bit of grovelling at my local garage in the morning!  :happy2:

Just place a towel over the hub assembly and you can get right in there, making sure the car is properly supported of course... I've found it's best to just use an allen without a rachet due to limited space.

But yes the K04 boys have it easy.  If you didn't know there's a relocation kit you can buy to move the DV from K03 location to K04. :happy2:

Thanks for the advice but I gave up in the end!  Went to my local 'friendly' garage who wanted £55 to change 3 bolts, so it's still not done at the moment!  :sad1:  There's probably nothing wrong with the original anyway!

Went to Kingston Lacy and was pleasantly surprised to find the Dorset branch of the UK Porsche owners club there on display.

Washed and waxed mine today and cleaned all the coal off it. Also fitted chrome window switches to passenger and rear doors. Just need drivers window switches now.

The golf and I went to V festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire. Had a decent time, drove up with a few mates and saw a few slammed vw's/audi's struggling over the grassy car park!

However, loved this!!!
