poured out the castrol 5w40 and made the switch to mobil1 0w40 today...I think I'm a bit delusional b/c I swear it has more Umph! how...can it be?

why do I keep reading 5 30 oil and people keep putting 5 40 oil is this oil okay for gti then

5W30 fully synth is longlife oil and what VW recommend BUT I know Alex @ AKS recommends millers 5W-40 nanodrive for modded cars as they tend to run hotter. Or something like that.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I use that too, £30 from Costco :) wasn't sure if I would burn through it too fast but it seems to be holding up ok

nanodrive is the best oil for these cars

Booked the golf in for a Stage 1 remap at Rtech next month and took delivery of these ready for the winter.

It's my first time using winters so also intrigued how they perform, especially now we are having reports for an artic winter.
Gonna order the second pair on payday ready to fit next month

Oh hell yeah! At the very least the rear arb for a, mainly, daily driver...but for a frequent tracker...do both ;p You will absolutely love the cornering with just the rear arb...

Took it out for a run, then for its MOT - passed no issues
