Fitted the ITG intake i bought from Justsean.

Never really done work on the car before so feel very smug that i have fitted it myself. The hoseclips were a pig to fit, especially on the turbo!

Noise, im not sure about yet, time will tell. Never really modded a car before, but always thought about, so finally bit the bullet. Milly cat back, ITG intake and maybe an R-tech map  :ashamed:

Took the car to Alex at AKS to have some brake work done, new engine mounts to replace the cracked old ones, and the SuperPro ALK and bushes fitted.  I can't recommend the guy's work enough, it was totally worth the journey from South East London to Bedford, and I don't think I'd go anywhere else for this kind of job.  First impressions of the ALK and bushes?  A tiny bit more vibration in traffic (in a manual ED30), but hardly noticeable and worth it for the feeling on turn in, and the reduction in roll.

On the downside, I definitely have a failing rear door controller or lock mechanism - it's hit-and-miss whether the nearside rear locks or unlocks.  Anyone comment on whether this is an easy DIY fix?

Did you buy the grill smoothed already or did you get it done by a body shop?

I finally got to drive the car on a dryish road. I've concluded that my brakes feel pretty rubbish. I think i need an upgrade of pads, or disk & pads.

hmm, some R32 ones would really suit the car. i think i have some for sale somewhere :signLOL:

Its a standard GT grill! P38 is a wonderful product, along with 400, 800, 1200 & 2000 grit wet and dry sandpaper. Oh and some hours!

Looks good and I am glad it does, I wrapped a used lower section in gloss black (thanks to numpty!(you know who you are!)) but not got round to wrapping top section yet.
Did you remove all vents? Was it difficult to do??

Thanks bud.

No i tried to remove the vents and i got the top part of them free but i couldnt release the vents themselves. So i just wrapped over the vents, hazard switch etc heated the vinyl and molded it over the various grooves so i could see where to cut. Took me a while lll admit.

Finished:

Its not perfect and i messed up around the dials to open and close the vents but other than that im happy.

Cheers Mk5Eire, I might tackle this on the weekend. Did you have any issues from unplugging the airbag light?

No bud just don't turn on the ignition when you have it unplugged. I didn't get any lights on the dash or anything so happy days  :happy2:. If you want to be completely safe just disconnect the battery.
