Alex also had a tall blonde girl as his new secretary. And he also managed to get his mitts on some 18" pilot super sports in the correct load and speed ratings for the mk5 golf Gti.

Ah that's no problem at all then chief, ds2500 I had years back in the A3 squeaked in the bloody box before I'd even fitted them  :grin:

I run M1144 pads on my VX220" they squeal like mad even with copper grease.

3M anti squeal shims and Ceratec worked wonders on my noisy 1144s  :happy2:

Fitted some mk6 parts DSG knob, also surround arrived for new climatronice fitted by the master Eddie a few weeks previous

I had m1144 before pmu pads and i don't recall them ever squealing?

I've had 4 sets of 1144s so far with another set waiting to go on and the 1st set were a little noisy when coming to a stop, fitted the 3M shims from the 2nd set on and they have been silent so seem to have worked for me at least  :happy2:

What was the cause of your high idle?

I saw a previous post you put about it and I think my ed30 is suffering the same problem :(
