Tried to do it today but didn't have much luck. Got the car nice and high on ramps and removed the scuttle panel but had difficulty removing the DV. Bottom 2 bolts are ok but accessing the top is nearly impossible with just a standard Allan wrench. New tools required I think!

Hearing stories like these make me glad I never had to change mine on the gti. Only takes about 2 minutes to change on the edition :D

Its definitely a lot harder than I thought, spent an hour on it and gave up. Car does need it doing though as although its ok up to 3000 rpm when you open her up the engine screams but power feels very flat.

Just the standard Evoms heatshield mate.

Also changed the lambda probe (B1 S1) which was causing trouble.

I think that it would hit the bay/wires/intake pipe if the angle would be more abrupt.
Will post more pics once I get the engine bay cleaned up.

Not today but Saturday I had a visit from a certain EddieNL, lovely chap coded in my highline clocks and replaced the drivers side airbag impact sensor! Only cause minor issues when putting the door back together! Love the highline and love the fact I don't have the airbag light on anymore!!!
That's it now, no more messing with the golf! Done everything I wanted to do now!........... Maybe some side skirts and ed30 splitter
