Had a nice parcel of brakes waiting for me when I got home too

After I got rid of the GTI I got an early (05) 2.0 FSI GT and it needed a few interior bits doing, so i finally got round to furnishing the steering wheel with a GT badge.

Bit more work this week - today I replaced the tailgate trim with a brand new one as the one on my car was badly gouged and scratched. I must say, those clips holding the trim to the tailgate are utter fkkrs. Cannot understand how VW thought it was a good idea to use them. I physically couldn't remove one, as it was bigger than the gap it was pressed into.

It was cut off, and not replaced on the new tailgate trim I fitted. Absolute overkill!!

Also fitted a cherry red hazard switch - looks so OEM & better than the original part!

Berated twice for missing one red light but slowed on the flag 100 yards on yet tuning companies cars can overtake on bends ???
I've been going for 6 years but maybe time to stop

@Turbojoe1980 the gear stick trim just pulls up didn't even have to use a trim tool. Just got my nails under it at the front where the ashtray is. Then i popped out the piece of plastic holding the leather.

Tried to remove the wheels to clean and seal ready for winter and found out the tyre garage have f**ked my locking wheel nut, so I don't suppose there will be any one at the stealers tomorrow. Luckily I am off from work on Monday as well. Stay tuned for part 2  :popcornsoda:
