Had a new thermostat fitted. Three hours labour, ouch!
3 hours!! Did they do it blind folded
I did mine on the drive, only took me about an hour start to finish and I hadn't done one before!

Are you talking about the main thermostat?! This requires lots of parts to be removed to get to it, even the alternator. Are you sure you didn't just do the secondary one?

My mate who's a mechanic replaced my main one in about 45minutes, somehow just managed to squeeze his hands in there and do it. I think he's done a few and perfected it though.

That's pretty nifty! Shame my mechanics didn't have that skill. Just hope it cures the problem now I've splashed out on it!

Forgot to mention it took about a week for my bleeding hands to heel up  :signLOL:

You must have baby hands  :signLOL:

It's a pig of a job, and requires boost pipes to be removed, and the alternator. I gave up after a while. .

@Degudodger  how about this mk6 kufatec kit?

That's the kit I'm looking at but it's slightly cheaper at car systems.pl

How comes? It's paint safe, I've never seen IronX damage anything and I've used it a lot.

Yeah... and who's gonna guarantee that when the paint (which is usually of questionable quality) fails? Just too risky IMO.

Fair enough but we've sold thousands of bottles and I've used it on dozens of cars (including my own) and never had an issue. It stinks but it's PH nuetral so should never cause an issue
