Fitted a new Mk6 window switch as my last was getting a bit hit and miss and also the VW LED plate lights but now they rarely work and keep throwing on the warning lamp!!

Anyone know if turning the cold diagnosis off in vag com will solve this?

I won't unfortunately

Picked up my Pirelli edition with B12 Bilstein fitted!!!!!!    :jumpmove: :jumpmove: :party:Omg its brilliant and grip is crazy and looks amazing!!!!
Have you changed ARB's yet? Eibach's work very well with that suspension. :happy2:

Too true, had an Eibach ARB with my B12 Sportline. Felt much more planted and agile

No I only had the b12 sport line kit fitted with new top mounts and I'm really impressed its a firmer ride but in a good way its not bouncy and crashy anymore and sit's perfectly. Are the eibach ARB'S a big job and what's the cost of them?

Not a big job on the rear, no. I am taking mine out tomorrow as I have ramp access, will take under an hour all in.

The front is a lot more involved, and not much fun.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Changed from Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy 2's to Michelin PSS on the front to give them a try and they're fantastic. Will be putting some on the rear very soon.

I changed from eagle f1s to pilot sport 3s and noticed a difference, so super sports should be even better!

Just gone from Dunlop Sportmaxx RT's to Eagle F1 Asy 2. I find they are miles better and quieter. Only experienced slippery dry/damp roads so far today

I did the same move (and then onto Super Sports).

Dunlop were noisy and poor in the wet. eagle F1 were much better, and Pilot Supersport better still

I got Pilots on the rear of the car as I read that Dunlops will get shreaded on the mk5/6 set. I can't remember what type they are tho, will look later on. Will look at the Pilot Supersports when they are due a change

Spent an enjoyable afternoon removing and refitting a good deal of interior trim to uninstall a vehicle tracking device (had no details and the unit was anonymous so I couldn't activate).  All to enable a key piece of trim to sit correctly for the first time since the car left the original supplying dealer - been bugging me since I bought the car five and a half years ago!

Removed lots of alarm/immobiliser systems over the years but this is my first tracker uninstall.  I feel so much better about the world and makes up for the fact my drivers window regulator died yesterday (next weekend's job...).
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!

After weeks of messing about with the car in the garage installing Bluetooth, changing some audio bits, doing lots more sound deadening, cleaning and painting brakes and inner wheels, new tyres and a top up detail I can now go and make it filthy dirty on a 4 day trip to Gloucestershire with a detour through the Brecon Beacons :)

Removed the ugly third party handsfree kit that was fitted to the radio. Whoever installed it was a right cowboy, control units hanging loose, connectors knocking against the radio and screws half tight. No wonder the dash had so many rattles! Much quieter now and I'm sure the radio sounds better :s

Great drive through Wales today. Car working perfectly..... Except either the slightly wider tyres are rubbing Ver occasionally on part lock when it hits a bump... Or both my top mounts have gone at the same time.

Will investigate when home. Hasn't affected a fun day though.

I've been needing to look at mine, Im keeping it on during the cold weather. But might rip it out over the warmer spells. Unless it actually does have a reason other than sound insulation during summer time?

Had the thermostat replaced. Car now nicely heats up to 90 degrees in about 12 minutes. Nice and warm in car now.
