Changed my cam follower. There wasn't much wear but having only got the car in December and not knowing if it had been done or not it was worth doing.

It wasn't lose to pull out, though. It was stuck and I had to use pliers to get it out with a bit of a tug I have to say. Is this a problem? Don't know if it's just placebo but the engine sounds like it's running better now...
I always install my new followers with a coating of graphite engine assembly lube inside and out. I show the lube near the beginning of my diy vid:

I have changed my follower about 5 or 6 times due to my hpfp upgrade, and I think my follower has once been stubborn when removing. The engine assy. lube I use now has remedied it ever happening again.

Can I ask where you got the mirror from? My drivers side glass wobbles at speed, so I don't think it will be long before it drops out :signLOL:

Get a bit of silcone or no more nails on it before you lose it and save yourself a few quid  :happy2:

It's a common enough problem, did this to mine two years ago and still going strong, just don't use too much, or you block the heated mirror element  :happy2:

This could be a really stupid question, this is my cam follower I removed, is it worth keeping and using again for a few thousand miles once my other one has worn through or just get rid?

I've already put a new one in, it's just whether I keep that as a spare or just chuck it :)
