They are very cool, really suit the r32grill. Not sure how good they would look on a gti though

That's a badgeless Jetta/Variant grill. A R32 has a completely different front bumper.

Finally got round to fitting the new main thermostat, two thermostat bypass valves and an alternator/aircon drive belt that I've had kicking around for a couple of months.  Start to finish took about 3.5 hours taking my time/care.  Looking forward to a car that hopefully warms up in winter now!

Next job, suspension overhaul...

Changed my oil for the 5th time in 19,000 miles. Still love this car as much as the day I first bought it.

Not today but yesterday, so it'll do!

My new top mounts came from Australia and have been fitted.. Yay for no knocking noises  :ashamed:

Also adjusted the dampening - rides so softly even though it's really low. Beautiful! And lowered the front at the same time too...

Hopefully cured an annoying rattle under the dashboard - driver's side - which had been getting progressively worse.

After stripping off the headlight switch/storage bin panel and poking about a bit I found a relay holder/plug loose in it's mounting (looks like the retaining lugs had just got slack with age).  Took the plug out and moved it into one of the adjacent spare mounts as well as applying some factory fabric loom tape to the four sides of the plug to make a snug fit.  Seems to have fixed it but will see in the morning on my drive to work...

Bonnet release has been getting a bit slack over the last few weeks so invested in a new handle and bracket to fix  TPS had them in stock so 5 minutes from call to collect :happy2: :happy2:    1K 823 633A     1J2 823 533C
