To be honest, it was a change due to issues I was having with withe revo file, so as far as figures go, they are pretty much the same, the apr file has slightly more mid-range than the revo file, but what it has done is cured the delay I had been getting

Nice one mate, glad you're happy with it. :happy2:

I was just interested as from what I've see the APR file usually makes lower peak figures than the REVO map but on the road is a very fast map.....(usually faster than the REVO too)! :innocent:

I wasn't switching to gain any power as I knew that the end power would be roughly the same given that they are both generic maps, had I thought about it properly, I would have booked a few nights away and went down to r-tech back in March!

However, having done around 300 miles since I had it done, I can say that the car now drives they way it did stock wise and the way it should still have been when revo mapped it. All in all, well out of pocket to say the least, but glad I've put to bed the issue, knowing it wasn't the car

I did the hi level breaklight bodge then set about my wheels with wheel cleaner, iron out, clay bar, polish then IPA and finally some C5. They look spot on. Might paint the grilles if the weather is nice tomorrow :)

Fitted an Ebay special ED30 front splitter (ABS plastic). Required some trimming to be in line with the wheel arch otherwise well happy  I have left it black to match the rest of the standard GTi trim. Subtle but nice addition to make the front look a bit more aggressive. And cheap!

eBay item number:171578195007

I offered £70 which was accepted. Arrived in just a few days via UPS, no damage.
