Gti dump valve

Help needed!
Im after a dump valve for my golf gti been looking around and was after some advise about which one to go for?

Anybody had one fitted?

The GTI, if its a Mk5 does not have a dump valve. It has a diverter valve instead.

Is it? I spoke to guy on fleebay said forge make one for the 2.0 fsi turbo? Just want that extra sound it?

They do make a DV (diverter valve) and they also make a spacer which spaces out the DV to make more noise

If you want more noise, get the forge spacer

I see its my first turbo you see wanted to hear the sound, are they hard to fit?

If its a normal GTI, takes an hour or so as youll have to get behind the engine via the drivers wheel arch to remove the DV and put the spacer in between

Also do you have to buy the diviter valve to fit the spacer?

No. The engine already has the DV fitted to it mate. The spacer just goes in between

If you jack up the car, and slide under it, you can easily reach the re-circ valve, and change it / add a spacer. It took me about 15 minutes to change my car's valve.

Used forges spacer for 2 years.  Doesnt bring up any EML Lights or faults.  They wouldnt sell it otherwise  :happy2:
