I'll be going full powerflow shortly. I think another member gulfstream will be too.

Where are you from?

A Powerflop exhaust will never match the quality of a properly designed exhaust from one of the major manufacturers. But there are some very capable exhaust builders out there that can do a great job. Crush bent pipes and mig welds are the usual methods used by powerflow.

Miltek arent exactly famed for build quality though.  they just put big prices on it and get it to the market first so people flock to them.

Ive had piper and pipewerx exhausts and they have been top notch

A friend of ours had a Powerflow exhaust on his Octavia vRS.

To say it was loud actually does it a disservice. The silencers were way smaller than the OEM ones.  :scared:

I've been to kingwinford tyres today who do powerflow exhausts, £250 for a custom cat back or £270 with a decat, after speaking to Jodie today at midland vw regarding my remap he said not to do a decat with out using a sports cat as it knackers the seals on the turbo which I don't want, so I'm going to give the powerflow a try, I'll let you know how I get on, and post up some vids of the sound.

post some pics of the exhaust as well, ask if you can see it before they drop it off the ramps. If they are using a mandrel bender and tig welder then it should be ok, if its mig with a compression bender then it wont be much better than stock as far as performance goes.

on the plus note for now, i do have a very very subtle nice cough on dsg gear change....

why miltek though?  they cost more than al the othrs yet still have as much if not more issues as the others do.  Id look into Blueflame and Pipewerx as the build quality is equal to Miltek yet they cost less

The only reason for milltek was because its the only exhaust i know thats been tried and tested and actually sounds nice, i would have another brand but its just knowing what there going to sound like, not after anything that sounds too boyracer, im going to have a look now, cheers

Blue flame are non Res only, and quite loud..
If you want quieter, resonated, then look at other options.
