Thunderbunny front kit...
« on: March 15, 2009, 10:29:32 pm »
So, just askin' as a hypothetical here...
What's your opinion, as mk5 enthusiasts, fans, and lovers, of the VWoA "Thunderbunny" kit for the GTI?

(not quite Thunderbunny, but close)

More specifically, but still entirely hypothetical (and possibly because I'm bored, and avoiding coursework), what d'you think about a Laser Blue GTI with the Thunderbunny kit (and a red stripe added on...)?

Edit, and while I'm thinking of ways to spend money I don't have, what's the general consensus on the Caractere "Sports" rear spoiler? Those of you who know me know I'm not much of one for bodykitting and so forth, but as I'm likely going to have to replace my rear spoiler anyway (failed brake light necessitating cutting it off) I may as well swap the OEM one for this one:

To me it looks like it is off another model, middle section is ok but the lower outer bits look like the have been left to close to a open fire.

It's a funny one for me, I love it on the Jetta TDI race cars, but I think I'd only consider it if i had a "base" model Golf MK5.

LOL, not too well received so far then :P
I dunno, sometimes I quite like it, other times it just looks like the car has a really massive chin... neanderthal-like. Might need to check out VWR in person some day to see it in person.
What's the thought on the Caractere spoiler?

i like it but the its so oversize the final look is VERY dependent on the right choice of wheels (e.g. the VWR car looks great)
so budget for a drop and some 19's and yes do it  :signLOL:

I had that exact same Caractere spoiler on one of my old MKV's. When I first got it I wasn't so sure but when it was painted and fitted it looked awesome! I got so many positive comments about it  :happy2:

I quite like the Thunderbunny front but I only think it looks right on a highly modified car, it just looks out of place on the standard White MKV pictured above

I've always liked it and if I were to change my front bumper it would be for one of those. I think it would suit a darker colour better  :happy2:
