Megs gold class is probably the only one I'd go for from halfrauds. As for online, I found born to be mild a bit lacking during the winter. Didn't cut through grime/dirt as well. Great as a summer shampoo though. Currently using duragloss 901 which is awesome at removing anything left over after a snowfoam/rinse.

When I ordered some stuff from Keith he dropped a sample of duragloss so I think I might have to get a bottle.  Does this work on particular colours?  Just for info my cars' black.

The snowfoam that I bought from Auto perfection is a absolute waste of money..

Not sure what it is, came with the snow foam lance...Doesn't even shift the slightest dirt, even after 1 day on driving on wet roads :stupid:

I have to turn the head on the lance really tightly shut to get any sort of foam out.. It's either the guns not making enough foam, or the solution is from jims own bath water :fighting:

As a result , the snow foam kit I spent £45 on, doesn't get used..

what's the best snowfoam to use?

Steve, I'm using Valetpro from Keith, who incidentally also supplied my foam lance. Great performance, very happy with both  :happy2:

Russ, the duragloss supposedly works well on all colours.

Steve: autobrite magifoam is supposed to be excellent. The other questions are: have you tried cleaning the lance itself (there's a guide on DW)? Have you adjusted both knobs on the lance? What concentrwtion are you using? Is your pressure washer powerful enough? Too many variables and the foam may not be to blame.

Autobrite MAGIFOAM Steve.

Literally the only snow foam that actually does anything.

It'll dwell for about half an hour  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

I'd bet my new wheels it's the best foam on the market by miles!!!  :happy2:

You can't go wrong with the Duragloss, it's a great shampoo, I've got through a few gallons of it over the past few years!

The Zymol auto wash is still available in Halfords......gives excellent results for the money. Their Autobathe is superb.

I've used their products for yeras to good effect......can be pricey for some bits though but the wax's last a long time!

I know this is an old thread, but I've been pondering this now for a long time....

So I've been using Cherry Foam in my lance for years now and it works great!!!

I let it dwell for a good 10mins and let rinse.

Thing is, then I've been re-applying the foam to wash the car with a wool mitt and also using a mix of cherry foam in a bucket with warm water.

Is it best to just use the foam to pre wash the car (the first dwell and rinse) and then use a quality Shampoo and the 2 bucket method???

Just wondered what you guys using the foam used for the hand wash!

Cheers.

Snowfoam is designed for lifting and soaking dried on dirt/grime/crap. It wasn't really designed for washing. I tend to think of it as comparable to soaking overnight dishes to help loosen dried on food.

A lot of people love Born to be Mild but I've found it crap TBH. I'm using duragloss at the moment, which I love.

Megs Gold Glass is great when your car is really filthy  :surprised:

But AG leaves a fantastic finish (even if it's not as "user friendly" as the Megs)
