ED 30 Golf ball gear knob

Pardon my ignorance  :wink:
Does the ED30 come with a Golf ball gear knob?
If so does anyone know the part no and price ?
I fancy retro fitting one to a standard GTI ?

They do come with a Golf Ball gear knob and red stitching, but they aint cheap. The part number I have is 1KO711113BSXPR, that is for the manual.

Im sure they were about £120+ but dont quote me! I know some of the other guys were looking at these recently but I cant find the thread!

not sure, i have seen two versions in the mk6 (edition type and the below, the ed30 one may have been a stand in ?)

Yeah, I can't imagine who'd buy one of those expensive things and retrofit it into their GTI! Must be a crazed fool of some kind...  :laugh:

Yeah, it was not a problem, the handbrake cover's got some sort of plasticky clasp thing at the base, just grip the shaft (that's what she said), and it'll pull straight off.
Time to spend some time with the Real Doll...
