My preference is always Michelin, however.... I've just ordered GY Asym 2s for the BMW, as I couldn't find any new-old stock of PS2s or get Supersports in my sizes.
I dismissed the PS3 as there are more expensive than the GY and not as good as a PS2.
So, having been pretty impressed with the Asym 1 when I had them on the Golf (my only criticism being sidewall stiffness) and all reports saying the 2 is far superior, in terms of grip, sidewall stiffness and noise - what's not to like??
If they're as good as PS2s, then I'll be very happy. I doubt they'll be as good as SSs, but then they're nearly half the price and this isn't going to see as much track as the Golf did, so do I really need them?? I very much doubt you do too.
Dunlops I've found are garbage, buy 4 new tyres and sell those 2 you have on.
The Bridgestone RE050As currently on the BMW are very good, but shocking in the wet.
The Conti 5s on the Clio were really very good all rounders, but wore fast.
I'm sure some other makes are perfectly good too, Vreds and Hankooks seem popular, but I've no experience of them.
Hope that helps?
BTW - miss seeing you around, you at Inters??
