I was a dissapointed  :sad1: as seeing the post about the dealer matching the revo offer, I popped down to my local dealer on sat morning to have my mk6 chipped (locked ECU) they couldn't do it as apparently they haven't the correct tool ???? (talking to revo they needed to have spent an extra £300 on a special tool for mk6's and not all revo dealers have it, just shows that some revo dealers are not really that committed or set up for the GTI community!!) they said just phone daventry monday morning and they will do it for you (I am only about an hours drive away), so on Monday morning 09:00am what happens - sorry mate if you couldn't get to inters no deal - even though I did go to my dealer (I was at a best friends wedding sat midday and was in no fit state to drive sunday ) so left with sour taste (or was that the hangover on sunday) as they did intimate that the dealer offer was a last minute thing and they didn't really want to offer it and wouldn't honour what their dealer said.

BTW they (Revo) said on the phone it was £399 discounted to £299 plus the dreaded VAT, not the £499 posted above. So no remap for me  :sad1:

It is true that not all dealers have the SPX tool thats required to program the newer MED17 ECU systems. jmspear, Give me a call and I will see if I can work something out for you :happy2:

I didn't even ask as I had the leaflet and it said only engine maps not transmission.

Oh well maybe next year I will see if they will do anything.

Thanks for the info PDT :happy2: I couldnt get to inters so rang my local dealer and asked if they had a Revo deal on, they said yes, £100 off an ECU map.

Popped down on Saturday to get a DSG and ECU stage 1. I got the £100 off and asked if I could get another £100 off as I had the DSG & ECU maps together (package deal). The chap said he couldn't do an additional £100 but would contact Revo on Monday, if they honour it I would get a refund on the additional £100+vat.
My refund is in process so saved £240 inc vat
