First I've heard of them but will certainly be the next tyre I'll try after the previous f1's

not been out long. need to see how much vw get them for.

i read online, someones comments "when breaking the tire squashes to increase footprint hence better breaking... but that also means when accelerating it does the opposite reducing grip"

The original Goodyear Assyms were very good tyres so these could an excellent choice.  :smiley:

Anyone tried these as of yet?

Thinking about ordering a set for the 18's. Only set i've found are 127.60 per corner so if you know anywhere that's doing them cheaper, let me know  :happy2:

Just had them fitted (225/45/17) replacing the Bridgestone 050's.

First impressions;

  • Much quieter, less droning and overall road noise
  • More comfortable ride, less impacts into the cabin, but remember the Bridgestone's only had 3mm at the front

....'Squirmy' surely a lot better than 'skiddy' (when talking about tyres!).

The standard retail price is currently ~£147 each but a tyre price is expected across the UK market soon-ish. I've been so pleased with my GY asy1's I've gotta go for the asy2's.
