Miltek welding
« on: June 22, 2011, 07:40:28 pm »
Just had to do some welding on my miltek as the bracket that holds the cat to the car decided to snap in half!

Is this the issues people keep talking about with their exhausts?

its stopped the rattling that's all I care about. And it was 5mins of a job (my first weld so a little untidy).

Was just surprised and kinda made me rethink recommending them again.

It's been modified now so that the hanger can be replaced separately and also they supply a 'bush' for the subframe.  A new addition to the mod state of the DP is to lengthen the flexi.

Is that the current 3" Dp from Miltek?

I think the amount of movement the engine had before I did the mounts will have played a part in the damage.

If you had another warranty replacement then I guess you'll get the newer part.

Bought mine in 2008 and rang after warranty expired hoping for a goodwill gesture discount towards a replacement... No such luck
