....Don't worry, mate - It's a valid point of view, probably not popular but who cares.

For different reasons from yours I tend to agree. It needs something fresh and bleak Bruntingthorpe isn't a great venue imo anyway. For a start it's not very international - A very wasted opportunity. I only went last year out of loyalty to BIALI and I'm not going this year.

Any special event is going to have expensive food. It's how they make their money!!!

Events like this do tend to get a bit samey but it's still an excuse to go out and perve at VAG babes cars

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

The show is what you make it! If you go with a cracking forum like this with like minded and interesting individuals then I fail to see what's not to enjoy???

The fact there is all sorts of other stuff to watch and do is just a bonus IMO........

The weather does play a big part, last year (think it was last year) was great on the Sunday and I they ostritch burgers were lovely - dont remember them being that expensive, some things were though.

It not too much of a trip for me which helps.

Purely about catching up with a load of mates and having a good time. The rest of the day is a bonus.
Sideways yo!

The drive to the event is great fun aswell.

can't remember getting wet over the past few years but remember getting Wind Burn a couple years back :signLOL:

the gathering of like minded enthusiasts is more of the reason for me attending rather then what's on show like has been said already.
