Buying a MK5 Golf GTi 2004/54??

Hi guys I've seen a well specced 2004/54 plate GTi for sale. My Q is will this most likely be a press car as I thought GTIs started production in 2005/05!? Is there anyway to find this info out?

It has Nav, Xenons, Leathers, 18'' Monza II Alloys, Heated electric front seats and flat bottom steering wheel. 80K with FVWSH, Tornado Red and 3DR. How much should I be looking to pay for this!? Thanks.

The prefix on the number plate may give it away, or the first owner and location of the PDI. Is it really a 2004/54 or is it a 2005/54?

How do you mean the prefix on the numberplate or the location of PDI..... For give me for being stupid lol, according to the owner it's definitely a 2004/54 plate!?
