changing tail lights

 changing mk5 lights, and the lights in the tailgate seem a nightmare to get off. its mainly the bolt holding them in, cant get a spanner or ratchet in there, anyone got any ideas. ive tried removing the surround cover with no luck.

I found using an open end spanner (10mm iirc) and having someone hold the boot open and parallel to the floor allowed sufficient access through the two plastic panels to unscrew the nuts.
Without traction power is nothing!

yer thats what ive been using, its only one of them that was an issue, the bottom one, but ill get someone to give me a hand with it over the weekend and see how it goes
