PC to MAC----- Transfering data

....If you take and organise a lot of pics, then get Aperture 3. You can get it free by using your Apple £65 gift card - It's normally £45 to download from The App Store or about £170 to buy it boxed.

Final Cut Pro etc not worth it unless you're likely to use it a fair amount.

I don't use anything by Microsoft or even have it installed on a Mac but I know that MS Office For Mac is specifically designed for Mac users, so you shouldn't have any file import probs except as others have posted about the external drive format.

FC Pro X... not worth it as IMO, you can make nice movies in iMovie and its 100000 times easier to use

ive just imported my photos that were all nicely organised on my pc, now in iphoto and aperture, theres 30000 files in one folder!! how do i go about arranging them like i used to in iphoto?

Is there a folder i can dump my photos into which includes the filesystem?

How were they organised on your PC?

Ive just tried a folder import into iPhoto and it worked like this...

Photos > Folder 1
           > Folder 2

They appeared as 2 separate events in iPhoto.
