....I think you mean a Sunday lunch meet. It's what we do at BIALI. I've got a Saturday lunch meet with the BIALI Boyz after JKM Dyno-Day.

BAD NEWS!

First they said they won't book an unspecific number of seats. Then when I suggested we book for more than might attend they said ok but can only book us for 6:00pm. They didn't sound interested even when I said we would probably book regularly every month. So nothing is booked and we won't get tables without a reservation.

I don't get a good vibe about this place.

I think that it's more that they don't know how to cope with a party of more than 6 people unless we can be more specific about our numbers. There seems to be a lack of flexibility there.

What I don't understand is why they could accommodate say 12 of us at 6pm but not at 7:30pm <-- That suggests we would be expected to leave by 7:30pm if we started at 6:00pm. When I go out for a meal I don't take kindly to it being suggested when I should finish eating and leave - It's simply uncivilised!

You could try the Shoulder of Mutton in Heckfield.

There's The Leather Bottle @ Mattingley which is now a Blubeckers.

The New Inn at Heckfield.

The Crooked Billet @ Hook.

All with easy access and in the same general area as the hated Jeckyll and Hyde.  :smiley:
