New from Edinburgh, looking to buy a 2004 Golf GTi
« on: June 22, 2011, 06:37:12 pm »
Hi guys currently on the look out for a MK5 Golf GTi, have spotted one which is on a 2004/54 plate which I find odd as I thought they started on 2005/05!? Could this be the first of the press cars by any chance!? Is there anyway to find this out??

The car has around 80K miles, Nav, Xenons, Leathers and 18'' Monza II alloys. Also folding mirrors, electric seats and flat bottom steering wheel. Seems a really clean car with full VWSH. What would you guys say I should be paying for this?
Also it's a 3DR Tornado Red car.

If you want to bench mark it then look for the same sort of car on Auto Trader, Ebay or Piston Heads and you'll get a benchmark value for that criteria of car  :happy2:

How far you travelling if you are looking to fly?  Why not test drive closer to home to get a feel for the car.  Then consider if it's worth the trip.  And just remember things that look too good to be true often are!

Good luck!

How did you get on? Did you buy? sounds like a good car, £7k is about right.

Hey sorry I've not replied, yes I got the car. Really enjoy driving it.  Could do with some more firepower though. Will take care of that once I sell my Type R
