Hi,

Have never joined anything like this before but I do own a Candy White Edition 30.  Thinking about a stage 2 upgrade either with VAGTech or VW Racing.  Has anyone had this done and if so are they happy or regretful.  Would love some feedback before I make up my mind.

Welcome, plenty of people have upgraded to stage 2, sure people will be along shortly to tell there experiences...

Stage one is enough for some people

Stage two i do think you'd need an exhaust TBE, intake.

What I am getting on Stage 2 is:
ECU reprogramming
Forge upgraded dump valve
Performance air filter
Milltek exhaust from cat back.

Are you saying that I should be doing more then?

Hi Jayne,

Welcome to the forum, it's a cracking place to be!

Those are ideal first mods and they will transform the car completely, but be warned, it's a slippery slope and once on it, you'll be wanting to make further changes!!

Standard is good but upgrade is better.  I know money will go and probably wont be receovered but over and above the upgrade what are you meaning?

The only other thing that I am contemplating is tinting of the rear windows and back.  The car is Candy White and just looks too simple, if you know what I mean and rather stupidly I have been looking at some of what other Edition 30 owners have been up to.

As regards, the upgrade I just want a bit more spark if you know what I mean.

This place will have you contemplating all sorts, but it's good as you can normally see your ideas on other peoples' cars and hear their thoughts on it before you decide whether or not to spend the £££'s.

IMO don't go too dark with the tints :happy2:

Yes I was contemplating a smoke grey rather than black or charcoal.  I would also like the wheels toned down a little to a smoke grey but not sure of cost of this sort of job.

Is there a particular supplier of bits and pieces that you guys use? If so who is it and can I have website please.

That depends on your location and whether you'll be doing the mods yourself or getting a garage to fit, etc.

Personally, I'm based in Kent but have used Awesome GTI (Manchester), APS (Brackley), AmD (Essex) and JBS (Chesterfield). All goes down to price and quality of service :happy2:

I am based in South West Wales - not far from Swansea and therefore it means that I have to travel many miles to get anything done.  My son will be doing some bits and pieces for me but my problem is locating what I need.  Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

You may see Becca88 around, she's a good friend of mine and drives a white edition 30. She'd be a good person to speak to about mods too as she has a Milltek cat back (R32 style) and an AmD remap
