Hey guys

Some of you may have seen my recent deperate pleadings (otherwise know as a wanted ad). Well... I have finally managed to find the right car!

Its a 2007 3 door Tornado Red
28k miles
FVWSH, Belt, Major Service, Tax, MOT all done March this year.
Spotless exterior and wheels (bar couple stone chips on bonnet, was garaged second car)
Xenon headlamps
Winter and Lux pack
Armrest and ipod connecter
6cd 10 speaker RCD500
Boot liner and winter mats and brand new ED30 mats
Highline comp
All past paperwork blah blah

Red was not initially a colour I had wanted, but now I wouldnt have anything else. Couldnt ask for more!

LOVE IT!

Just goes to show it pays to wait... as hard as that is LOL

Had it just over a week now and am blown away by the performance. Handling is great, nicely balanced and power and delivery seems just right. i was going to go straight to a Revo Stage 1 but to be honest I dont think it needs it. Especially on the B-Roads of the Peak District. Runs out of puff a little after a 100mph, but.....

Interior is a really nice place to be as well and I have fitted an RNS510C which is a great piece of kit. Easy to fit and really amps up the sound.

Also stuck an ED30 badge on the front and treated the car to a clay, polish and wax with Dodo Orange Crush.

Apart from that just been enjoying it!

Matt

Few pics (not great but I did my best tonight with my phone and some crappy light lol)

Out of interest how do you find out what number your ED30 is? Previous owner didnt have 'the plaque'

Very nice mate. It's tempting to upgrade to an Eddy! There's a red one just moved in round the corner and I keep looking!

Hi Matt

Call VW on 0800 0833920.  My ED30 was 3 yrs old when I bought her and as the previous owner hadn't received the plaque  they sent me one within about 6 weeks.  They should still be able to tell you the number but the plaque is a nice touch to have

Cheers guys and thanks for the plaque info Gladiator, Im not overly concerned by not having it but got to be worth it for the price of a phone call!  :happy2:

Just received my Gti seat inserts from Gulfstream so will get those fitted in next few days. Then new metal plates being ordered and I think that will do it!

Feel like I should be updating this thread with all sorts of awesome new modifications, but the car is just so darn good as standard!

Although I have since fitted a shorter aerial and purchased a chrome headlight switch

I think if I lived somewhere different, then I may have been sucked into mapping it and then adding WALK, LSD etc to cope with extra power. But living in the Peak District where 90% of my journeys are on B-Roads it just doesnt seem to need the extra poke. 4th gear alone gives awesome punch between 40-100mph so you are constantly on the boil between bends.

If I got serious about the speed then the brakes would have to go, std set up isnt great... But I wouldnt want to add the R32/S3 kit because of the weight, so I guess its at least £1400 on some AP's or similar. Therefore will just drive it at 8/10th's and keep my hands in their pockets LOL

Top car though, proper Jeckle and Hyde character, love it

The edition30 is a joy to drive. I too was patient and waited what seemed like forever for the right one to come along. But it did and I love it. The old saying is the best things come to those who wait..  :chicken:
