"Show" Alloys?
« on: July 04, 2011, 10:57:19 am »
Went to my first VAG show yesterday and spotted a few REALLY nice MK5's all had like mErc wheels or Lambo wheels on.

Decided that next time I go to a show I want some show alloys and then the Monza 2's for normal use, what are cheap that look great?

There's a lot of cheap merc alloys on eBay buy not the same style that I seen as these are like £1000+ so after som cheap alloys I can get refurbed and look mint for just the show?

Suggestions on a postcard :D

Cheap alloys are often that, cheap, poor quality, replica wheels are often much heavier, so shop carefully. Perhaps keep your eye open on the classified on sites like edition38, wheel whores etc...

Its not about how cheap or expensive they are.

Its all about how exclusive they are  Look for something out of the norm.

THINK I have a set of LR rims :D Spotted them on another car and liked how they look, obviously mt car will also need to be low to pull it off but this will be a gradual thing to make happen over time, what's peoples ideas about colours? I was tempted by something like Cadbury Purple (Along with a spare red grille lip I have bought)? Or just keep them "brilliant silver"?
