Problem when fitting passat wing mirror adjuster??
« on: July 04, 2011, 06:28:53 pm »
Dont know whether i'm going crazy here or this is meant to happen?

i have just fitted a brand new chrome passat wing mirror adjuster

part no 5K2 959 565 XSH

when I move it onto L it adjusts the left mirror

when I move it on R it adjusts both at the same time

ive took it out and re- fitted the original and it happens the same on this.is this supposed to happen as ive never noticed it before?

surely when on R it should only adjust the right hand mirror?

R does both  :happy2:

Think it can be disabled with VCDS

if you have a highline computer you can adjust this setting so it moves the mirrors individually, although I cant remember off hand which setting it is under.

Adjust drivers first, then passenger and leave it on 'R' to do them at the same time in the future. I find it quite handy

You should be able to change this behaviour with vcds.
