New Alloys - Wheel Sizes
« on: July 04, 2011, 07:40:15 pm »
I want to get some new alloys    and not to sure on the alloy wheels  sizes (offsets) and tire sizes. Cause i dont want to buy new alloys and then find they dont look right or start to rub.

Car is Mk5 GT sport tdi 57reg currently on 17 inch classics
Its not going to be lowered as of the sh*tty road conditions  :sad1: so it will be at standard height.

Im looking for 18 or 19inch alloys, What sort of offset ect can i get away with?

Many Thanks

Tyre size needs to be 225/40/18.

Ive got 225/45  17 on my classix already which are nealy worn out.
Just want me new alloys to stick out abit further than these.

I was thinking about getting 45 offset but not sure if 42 would be better. As not to sure what mine are.
