Not done them personally but have been looking into it for mine also,
Not sure if this is 100% and i'm sure someone on here will confirm if it is or not.
Nut off driveshaft
Release lower ball joint pull out strut to allow driveshaft to come out of hub assembly
Bearing is a complete assembly which bolts up behind the hub carrier. Not sure if the new bearing is also the wheel mounting flange without having stripped it down.
I did get a price of some genuine vw ones and they are around 90 a side.
If I can pinpoint the noise on mine and this is it i will be having a go myself, doesn't look too bad.
