Ideally you need to know a student who has a suitable Student ID - Do you??

Like most things there are ways around it

Why don't u just get a bl@@dy pc. Runs for cover for a few days or more.

Btw. Run VCDS on a panasonic toughbook.

Oh for sure, that's certainly a good option.

You'll find that AppleCare is very cheap but if you dig into the weeds the Student Machines pretty much come with AppleCare included.
