delocking drivers door

are people delocking their drivers door as people do with the mk4? if so whats the way into the car in the event of a remote failure as you cant get into the boot with the key as you could in the mk4?

I have thought about doing this and even got the kit wiating to be fitted but am also unsure just in case i ever need to open the car manually.
