Freenas 8 issues - Help for a beginner!
« on: July 06, 2011, 12:41:16 pm »
Guys,

I recently installed Freenas 8 onto a HP N36L Microserver and am having difficulties accessing the server from both my imac and work laptop running Windows XP. I can connect to the server via the ip address but cannot log in as the admin password and user profile password are not recognised.

Also. I have created two profiles and want to create separate folders for photos, Videos, MISC and iTunes music but cannot figure out how to do it.

I consider myself to be competent on both Windows and Mac platforms but Linux is a different bag of cats entirely!

Online Freenas forums have been consulted but it feels like advice is only given to more experienced users.  :sad1:
